The Woman In Black, A Ghost Play

Adapted by Stephen Mallatratt

September 14 - October 21, 201

The power of storytelling is on full display in this theatrical spine-chiller about the woman in black who haunts the neighborhood where her child was killed. Anyone who sees her dies! This show has been running in London for 27 years, and only a select few American theatres have been granted license to produce it - including Swift Creek Mill Theatre! The British press said it right: "Don't go unless you like being scared out of your wits!" "A truly nerve-shredding experience!" "The chills are irresistibly effective... a delicious spell of malevolence and menace." "Guaranteed to chill the blood." www.thewomaninblack.com

The Andrews Brothers

by Roger Bean

November 9 - December 31, 2017

A USO performance in the south Pacific by the Andrews Sisters is in jeopardy of cancellation when they fail to appear shortly before curtain time. Luckily, three hapless stagehands are determined that the show must go on - and go on it does! This music-fest is filled to the brim with over 25 songs made famous by the Andrews Sisters, including the showstoppers "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Slow Boat to China", "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree", and "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive". Mistaken identities and madcap adventures abound in this holiday valentine to some of the backstage heroes of World War II.

All My Sons

by Arthur Miller

January 18 - February 24, 2018

Arthur Miller's classic drama is as relevant today as it was when it was written in 1947. Based on the true story of an Ohio aeronautical corporation accused of conspiring with army inspection officers to approve defective aircraft engines destined for military use, the play won Tony awards for both its author and its director (Elia Kazan). Idealism battles with reality, and suspicions battle with truth as Miller unwinds this heart-wrenching story of a family torn apart by greed and guilt. Not to be missed!

Dames At Sea

by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller

March 8 - May 5, 2018

A tap-happy gem of a show that celebrates the golden era of movie musicals, this is the show that brought stardom to a 20-year-old Bernadette Peters, and continues to delight audiences today! It's a tongue-in-cheek version of those large, flashy 1930's Busby Berkeley-style musicals in which the naïve chorus girl arrives in New York on the bus, steps into a role on Broadway and becomes a star. Lots of corny fun, lots of great singing and dancing, and, of course, a very happy ending!

Always A Bridesmaid

by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope & Jaime Wooten

May 17 - June 30, 2018

From the authors of "The Dixie Swim Club" and "The Hallelujah Girls" comes another comic romp featuring the foibles of nuptial bliss! Four Southern friends-for-life made a pact at their senior prom to be in each other's weddings....no matter what! Thirty years later, they are still honoring that vow. Hop on the marriage-go-round for a laugh-out-loud journey with these beleaguered bridesmaids as they navigate the choppy waters of love and matrimony. The Jones/Hope/Wooten team always comes through, and this "dearly beloved" comedy is no exception!

Tomfoolery

by Tom Lehrer, adapted by Cameron MacIntosh

July 12 - August 18, 2018

A revue of the witty, wicked and thoroughly twisted world of famed satirical songwriter Tom Lehrer. Before there was "Laugh-In" or "Saturday Night Live", and before the term "political incorrectness" had ever been heard, Tom Lehrer was featured on "That Was The Week That Was", plying his sharp-edged craft. No one is spared from his delightfully cynical skewer as he takes aim at the A-bomb, racism, pollution, pornography, the military, the boy scouts, and the Catholic church, just for starters! This one's not for the youngsters - let's say somewhere between "PG-16" and "R". www.tomlehrer.org
