ShenanArts Presents MULAN JR., 10/21-30

By: Oct. 07, 2011

The Fa family Ancestors (Juliette Aaslestad, Grayson Katzenbach, Kylie Nabers, Savannah Olshove, Elle Wood) help to tell the story of Mulan (played by sisters, Gwynne and Audrey Wood). After bringing dishonor to her family in front of the village Matchmaker (Katy Laser), Mulan strives to regain honor by going to war in place of her father. The Ancestors have no choice but to send the misfit dragon Mushu (Tate Snyder) to stop Mulan, who will be killed if she is discovered.

As Shan-Yu (Robbie Cantrell) and the Huns prepare to attack China, Mushu helps Mulan act like a soldier. Mulan introduces herself as "Ping" and joins the Guys, Yao (Michael Griffith), Ling (Michael Hawes), and Qian-Po (Graham McDowell), to endure Captain Shang's (Morgan McDowell) grueling training. The Chinese Soldiers march to defend a mountain village from Shan-Yu, but arrive too late. What will happen to the villagers, will Mulan be found out, will she regain her family?s honor?

Other cast members include Sam Davick, Rachel Dixon, Alex Donato, Eston Garber, Mackenzie Griffith, Hadleigh Katzenbach, Nathaniel Marion, Elaina Miles, Grayson Reed, Philip Ryman, Gabe Sheets, Caitlin Snook and Morgan Thomas.
