Firehouse Theatre Project Announces 'You Don't Know Me: A Trio of One-Acts'

As part of the Acts of Faith Festival, the Firehouse Theatre Project is pleased to announce You Don't Know Me: A Trio of One-Acts, featuring What Strong Fences Make and Beirut Rocks, by Israel Horovitz, and Ohio State Murders, by Adrienne Kennedy. It is running February 16- March 11 at Firehouse Theatre.

The production is directed by Bill Patton, and is a partnership between Firehouse Theatre and Virginia Union University Theatre Department, featuring performances by K Dance.

These three one-act plays take an intriguing look at the destructiveness of prejudice in society. InWhat Strong Fences Make, two friends are set against each other at an Israeli checkpoint just outside the entrance to Ramallah, West Bank. In Beirut Rocks, four American students, Jewish, Arab and Christian, clash heatedly in a Beirut hotel room. In Ohio State Murders, an African-American writer unravels a dark mystery stemming from her 1949 studies at Ohio State.

Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for seniors (65+), $12 for students and RAPT members, and $20 for groups of 10 or more. They are available by calling the box office, 804-355-2001, or online at www.firehousetheatre.org.

Talk Back Discussions: With cast, crew, and director - Friday, February 17 and Sunday, February 26 

Playwright, Israel Horovitz will be in attendance March 9, 10 and 11, and will be leading Talk Back Discussions on March 9 and 10.

Martini Nights: March 8, 9, and 10. Doors open at 7pm, so make sure you are there early for your complimentary pre-show martini!
