Gamut Theatre Group’s Harrisburg Shakespeare Company will hold open auditions for William Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida, directed by Clark Nicholson on April 1 and 3 from 7-9 p.m.Out-of-town actors can audition April 4 from 3-4 p.m. Auditions will be held at Gamut Classic Theatre on the third floor of Strawberry Square in Downtown Harrisburg. Actors must be at least 18 years old and schedule an audition by calling the theatre at
(717) 238-4111. No walk-ins will be accepted. Call-backs will be held April 4 from 6-9 p.m. Actors must be available during the call-back time. If an actor is unavailable during auditions, Gamut Theatre will accept digital auditions via DVD or web link, although this method is not preferred.
For the audition, actors will present a one to two minute monologue that must be memorized. Headshots are not mandatory, but actors should bring a photo of themselves if they do not have a headshot.
This will be the 22nd Free Shakespeare in the Park production held in Reservoir Park’s Levitt Pavillion. The performance will run June 5-20, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Actors must be available for all performances.
