THE WOMAN IN BLACK - The Reedy Point Players Non Equity Auditions

The Reedy Point Players are pleased to announce OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for The Woman In Black! The Woman in Black, directed by Gail Wagner, is a ghost play which creates a tense and eerie world for the audience. The dark tale, told by Mr Kipps, with the help of an Actor, transports us back to Eel Marsh House where our visual and audio senses will be heightened in order to feel the supernatural atmosphere of the story.

rppwomaninblack@gmail.com. This does not commit you to anything, and it is not a requirement. You may request a copy of the side in advance via email as well.

Needed: 2 men + 1 woman
OLDER KIPPS/ACTOR - Age 45-60s(ish) and
ACTOR / YOUNGER KIPPS - Age 25-40(ish)
**Between these 2 roles, they will portray SEVERAL characters in various ages.
THE WOMAN IN BLACK - Age 20-40
**Since the “Woman” character has no dialogue, those interested in auditioning for the female character (Woman) may be asked to tell a ghost story or personal spooky experience of not more than five minutes in length

Auditions will include a cold reading from the script as well as a pre-arranged side. All Roles are available. Headshots and resumes are certainly appreciated, but not required. Actors will be expected to demonstrate proficiency and sustainability in the standard British dialect. The Older Kipps/Actor role may require multiple British/UK dialects.

Cast is expected to meet once a week in July for several read-throughs, to be followed with blocking (2-3 times a week) beginning in August. Please bring a list of known conflicts to the audition.

Performances wil be on October 24, 25 and 26.
