AUDITIONS: THE CENTER OF GRAVITY

January 5 & 7 at 6:30pm

Cotuit Center for the Arts is auditioning for the Hometown premiere of new play by acclaimed poet and playwright Gregory Hischak. The Center of Gravity or the Disinvention of the Airplane explores how America's most famous pair of brothers might have been undermined in their courageous pursuit of manned flight simply by...being brothers. Filled with magical realism, mechanical engineering, and a little Abbot and Costello, this exciting play won the prestigious Clauder Prize in 2010.

Roles for 2 men, 25-50, 1 woman 20-35, 1 woman 40-65.

Audition Dates:

Sunday, January 5 and Tuesday January 7

6:30-8:30 in the Main Performance Space,

and callbacks are Jan 11, 1-4 in the Art Studio.

Production Dates: April 3-20, Thur, Fri, Sat 8, Sun 2

GOD OF CARNAGE

January 5 & 7 at 6:30pm

Director Steve Ross is seeking actors for Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage. This Tony-award winning script is about two sets of parents who meet to discuss a playground fight between their children in a civilized manner. As the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Sunday, January 5 and Tuesday January 7

6:30-8:30 in the CCftA Annex.

Casting four roles, 2 men and 2 women, ages 30's - 50's, Actors will read provided sides from the script.

Production dates are March 13-30, Thurs-Sat at 8pm, Sun at 2pm.
