Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to announce AUDITIONS for PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, December 4 and 5 at BPA. This Tony Award-winning show upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, this wildly theatrical adaptation playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love.

Run dates are March 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, with a Pay-What-You-Can Preview March 8. Rehearsals extend January 13 through March 7, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays @ 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. plus Saturdays @ 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER includes 12 roles for ages 12-70 plus an ensemble. Those auditioning are requested to prepare a one to one-and-a-half-minute monologue and 32 bars of a Broadway song. An accompanist will be provided but you must bring sheet music – clearly marked and in a three-ring binder. You may also sing acapella. This is a play with four musical numbers, and not all characters will need to be strong singers. The following characters’ singing features more prominently: Mrs. Bumbrake, Molly, Alf, and Smee. All roles are open to audition, and interested parties may view a complete listing of characters online at
