NextStage is seeking 5-6 young artists to join our Virtual Production of Les Misérables: School Edition! If cast, we will be starting rehearsal immediately. Performers must have a stable internet connection and be prepared to adapt to new technology so we can create our incredible recorded production.

**Due to show content and our contract with licensing, there is an age limit of 13-18 years old at the time of auditions. Gavroche is the only exception.

For this production, everything will be pre-recorded live and streamed in August. Rehearsals and live recording will take place June 14th - August 5th on Monday-Thursdays from 5:00 - 8:30pm. You will NOT be called for the full rehearsal time and will be expected at rehearsal 2-4 times a week. Be prepared to learn and adapt to new technology to create our incredible recorded production.

REQUIRED AUDITION MATERIALS: Please send ALL 3 materials below to Jessica Erin Swanson at within a week of my audition form.

1. Headshot

2. Resume

3. Vocal Audition: 1-2 minute cut of a dramatic musical theatre piece that best demonstrates your talent

CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be by email invitation. They will consist of additional pre-recorded material and a live meeting if needed. Call back sides can be accessed at this link. Feel free to get a head start if called back. Please note available roles when looking at the callback sides,

COMPENSATION: Regardless of age, all NextStage actors are always paid a percentage of ticket sales for each production along with all funds collected through our Actor Tip Jar.

Enjolras is the student leader. He is handsome, brave, and daring, although youthful. He combines his revolutionary ideals with strong, charismatic leadership. Enjolras is one of the more difficult roles to cast. He should be a natural leader oozing with charisma and have a very strong high baritone or a tenor voice.

Vocal range: A2 - G4

Grantaire is the opposite of Enjolras. He believes in nothing. Although he admires Enjolras, he loves to mock him. Witty and drunken, Grantaire is happy being with the group, and they put up with him because of his good humor.

Vocal Range: A3 - F#4

The ensemble for this production will likely be the busiest. They will be in all group numbers and fill in 20+ named roles. All ensemble members will have a minimum of one solo through the show. Some female ensemble members will likely double as male characters in the ABC society and barricade scenes.
