PR HPAC Announces Auditions for Jesus Christ Superstar

The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company (formerly The Steeple Players) announces auditions for the engaging rock-opera JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Saturday, March 8th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.and on Sunday, March 9th from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Community Church of Hendersonville, located at 381 West Main Street in Hendersonville. The show will run from May 29th through June 15th at the Hendersonville Performing Arts Company under the direction of Kym Sims, with Sheri Mills as the show’s music director and Bakari King as the show’s choreographer.

Based on a concept album project written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR tells the story of the final 7 days in the life of Jesus Christ through the troubled eyes of Judas Iscariot. The show is a musical theater staple, having just been revived recently on Broadway.

Please be prepared for a cold read from the script and please prepare a Broadway style song. There will not be an accompanist so please bring your own track. Tracks are preferable over a capella.
