Seeking talent for concert version of new musical James the Lesser at The Green Room 42.
Submission Guidelines:
You must be local NYC. Please make sure to include a video of you singing a song that represents your voice well. Pay close attention to the rehearsal schedule. Due to the small number of rehearsals, being present for them is important.

The performance will be November 9th 9:30pm at The Green Room 42 (570 10th Ave, New York, NY 10036)

About the Show:

Telling the story of the least important apostle, James the Lesser depicts the Passion from the perspective of the eponymous James whose only claim to greatness is being the cousin of Jesus. Always a moment late to every important event of the Gospel and liked by only one other apostle, Judas, James finds himself unwittingly at the center of a plan to save the life of Jesus by using his likeness to his cousin to have him crucified in his place.

Open Roles:

James: The least notable apostle and Jesus' cousin, bearing a striking resemblance to him. Also briefly plays Jesus. Vocal Type: Tenor/Baritenor

Mary: A follower of Jesus in Jerusalem known for her beauty and complete lack of marital interest. Vocal Type: Soprano/Mezzo

Judas: One of the apostles, who ends up betraying Jesus. James' only friend among the followers of Jesus. Vocal Type: Baritone/Baritenor

Huldah: A zealous follower of Jesus in Jerusalem, willing to go to extremes to support him in his ministry. Vocal Type: Alto
