Hershey Area Playhouse Holding Auditions for It’s a Wonderful Life

Hershey Area Playhouse is holding auditions for its upcoming production of the heartwarming play, It’s a Wonderful Life, Friday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. for children, and at noon for any additional auditions.

Auditions will take place at the Playhouse, located at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Cherry Drive, Hershey. Roles for 12 men, 10 women, two boys and two girls are available. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the play’s script.

It’s a Wonderful Life is a familiar play that centers around George Bailey, a frustrated and desperate businessman. In his despair, an angel comes to his rescue by showing him what life would be like if he was never born. This play requires a full cast of adults and children ready to celebrate the positive message of the show and the Christmas season.

The show is being directed by theatre veteran Marcie Warner. Performances will be held Dec. 3-6 and Dec. 10-13 at the Playhouse.
