Seeking: A company of five actors for the world premiere production of GAME ON, an interactive game show musical. Please note that we are looking for actors to be themselves in the audition, rather than playing to a character “type.” With that in mind, please choose material that showcases who you are as a person and an artist. See below for casting breakdown. Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to submit for all roles.
CASTING BREAKDOWN:
Monty Price* - Male, 30s-50s. Any ethnicity. GAME ON’s charismatic, clever and empathetic host. The motor behind the proceedings. If the unseen “Executive” is God, Monty is Gabriel. Actor must have strong improvisational skills. Attractive by genuine charm. Not a singing role, however, does sing in the final moment of the show. People coming in for this role will be asked for a cut of a song.
Gillian Van Ness/Deborah - Female, 20s-30s. Any ethnicity. A comedic actress who plays a winning contestant named Deborah - a college student from Alabama who longs to travel abroad. Also plays Gillian Van Ness, Monty’s Vanna White-like assistant. Loves being a part of this world famous game show, but wants to be more than just the pretty face. Must have strong improvisational skills. An impressive Broadway and youthful soprano pop belter.
Grace* - Female, 50s+. Any ethnicity. Contestant on the show. A retired receptionist looking for a new lease on life. Thoughtful with a wry sense of humor. Honest and a good listener. Comes to see GAME ON, never realizing that she could actually be chosen for the show herself, and is unprepared when it happens. The heart of the show. Mezzo. Has a strong mix up to E, a full and delightful vocal vibe.
Felix - Male, 30s. Any ethnicity. Contestant on the show. Reserved, rigid, a bit nerdy. A guy who rarely takes a risk for fear of making wrong choices. Felix comes into his own and becomes more confident as the show goes on. Was once in a relationship with Natalie - a major source of conflict. A vocal style that is comedic and quirky. A rock tenor.
Natalie - Female, 30s. Any ethnicity. Contestant on the show. Natalie is intuitive. A risk-taker who loves to fly by the seat of her pants. Natalie was once in a relationship with Felix. She must work through her unfinished business with him as she attempts to win big on her favorite show. An incredible vocalist with a unique quality in her tone and energy. Proudly walks to the beat of her own drum. High Belt or Mix up to D.
*Please note that this role has been cast. Actors interested in MONTY and GRACE will be considered for understudy/swing positions.
