The classic myth tells the story of a young couple in love, a wife’s untimely death, and a grief stricken husband using his musical prowess to retrieve his wife from the underworld. Orpheus is allowed to retrieve his wife and bring her back to the living world but he fails to follow the one rule that Hades gave him, and instead Eurydice has to return to the Underworld.

In Ruhl’s telling of the tale all the action centers on Eurydice. Her relationship with Orpheus, her father, and Hades, the Lord of the Underworld. What happens to her in life and death, and the choices that she makes along the way

Join us for this intriguing and compelling “re-telling” of the classic tale.
