EPAC Announces 2014 General Auditions
Ephrata Performing Arts Center will hold general auditions for its 2014 season of Pulitzer Prize, Tony and Grammy-winning plays and musicals by appointment on January 9-12 in its home base, the Sharadin Bigler Theatre, 320 Cocalico St. Ephrata.
Shows to be cast and their production dates are:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (March 20-April 5)
Sunday in the Park with George (May 1-17)
Agnes of God (June 12-28)
Legally Blonde (July 24-Aug. 9)
Death of a Salesman (Sept. 4-20)
Cabaret (Oct. 16-Nov. 1)
Annie (Dec. 4-20)
Audition dates and times are: Thursday, Jan. 9, 6-9 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 10, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 11, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; andSunday, Jan. 12, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For an appointment, visit the

Musical applicants must present a memorized monologue no longer than two minutes and a one-minute song. If you are only interested in chorus/ensemble roles, only a song is required. Please bring your own sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. You may use a tape or CD for accompaniment. Please bring your own tape/CD player; one will NOT be provided. This General Audition is for performers 15 years of age and older. Younger performers for Annie will have a special audition at a later date

Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George (landmark winner of the Pulitzer, Tony- and the Grammy) paints a masterful portrait of 19th-century French artist Georges Seurat whose artistic obsession takes a personal toll spanning three generations
In John Pielmeier’s Agnes of God, the discovery of a novice nun’s dead fetus has explosive consequences for the young nun, her Mother Superior and the female psychiatrist enlisted to help solve the case. Remarkably based on an actual incident.
Legally Blonde, the smash hit movie comedy cum Broadway pop/rock musical revolves around the irrepressible and irresistible Elle Woods, who follows the beau who dumped her to Harvard Law School to win him back. Winner of the 2012 “Best New Musical Tour” award.
Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller’s devastatingly timeless portrait of the professional and personal unraveling of failed salesman Willy Loman won the 1949 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony, as well as three revival Tonys.
In Cabaret, the sensual Kander and Ebb musical, a seedy Berlin nightclub reflects the moral decay of encroaching Nazism and frames the love stories of a hedonistic cabaret performer and a young American writer, and their elder German landlady and her Jewish neighbor. Winner of the Best Musical and two Best Revival Tonys as well as the Oscar and the Grammy!
Annie—America’s favorite family musical—finds the ’40s comic strip heroine influencing America’s richest tycoon and Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Depression-transforming New Deal presidency while trying to escape the clutches of her villainous orphanage overseer. Winner of the Tony for Best Musical.
