THE MERRY WIDOW and CHICAGO General Audition Notice
When: January 13 & 14, 2014

Spanish Lyric Theatre, the longest-running Hispanic theatre company in the Country as well as the longest running musical theatre company in Tampa, is pleased to announce General Auditions for both THE MERRY WIDOW and CHICAGO. These two shows represent the two English language musicals in SLT’s 55th Anniversary Season. SLT is a professional, non-Equity theatre company.
While SLT fully intends to fully cast THE MERRY WIDOW and minimally principles for CHICAGO at this general audition, a supplemental audition may be held to round out the ensemble cast for CHICAGO at a later date based on the director’s discretion.
SLT is seeking a multi-ethnic cast of actors, singers, and dancers. All roles require singing ability. All roles are open. Principal performers will be compensated.
Please prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show you are auditioning for. If you are auditioning for both shows, please prepare two contrasting pieces that demonstrate your vocal versatility. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your appropriate key(s). Be prepared to dance and bring dance appropriate attire.
THE MERRY WIDOW performances are scheduled March 15 and 16, 2014 at HCC Ybor.
CHICAGO performances are scheduled May 10 and 11, 2014 at HCC Ybor.
