General Auditions May 27 & 28
BCT will be holding general auditions for their 14|15 Season on May 27 & 28, 2014.
Auditions will take place in 5-minute appointments between 10am-3pm each day. To schedule an appointment, contact BCT Resident Stage Manager Kristy J. Martin by email:
km@bctheater.org or phone: 208-331-9224 x204. Email is preferred. Actors should come prepared with two monologues totaling no more than four minutes combined. Actors should also bring a headshot and resume. Boise Contemporary Theater is a professional company hiring Equity and Non-Equity Actors.
All interested actors are encouraged to audition. There will be many roles to be cast during the season, which includes five full productions and nine readings.
Noteworthy roles to be cast include:
Morgan, female, any ethnicity, 14-16 years old (if you’re older but can play a teenager, that works too). Morgan is smart and defiant.
Shelley, female, any ethnicity, 50-70 years old. Shelley is a nurse, who has raised five kids, so she knows a thing or two about the world.
. . . and a number of other roles.
Some plays have yet to be selected, so “There isn’t a role for me” isn’t an excuse. Are you an actor? Do you want to work at BCT? You should audition.
