Mixed Magic Theatre will hold auditions for high school students for a
workshop production of
AMERICA 2065: Battle for the Great Strip City
by Ricardo Pitts-Wiley and Robert Schleeter
10 am to 2 pm at 560 Mineral Spring Ave. Pawtucket, RI

This rock/soul/hip-hop musical is the story of two groups of teens, in a post-apocalyptic America who are challenged to decide what direction a new nation will take. The question is are they making choices for themselves are being controlled by master gamers.
The workshop process, which will be directed by Ricardo Pitts-Wiley, will incorporate New Media Learning concepts in the development of the final production. The show will be presented at Mixed Magic Theatre located at 560 Mineral Spring Ave. in The cast calls for a multi-ethnic cast with roles for 8 Male and 8 Female characters and musicians, including keyboard, bass, guitar, drums, percussion and saxophone.
Audition Requirements
16 bars of a contemporary song or rap/spoken word. Must provide own music or beat tracks. Read from script Learn a simple dance routine
The rehearsal process will be as follows:
Sat. Mar. 28th Apr. 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 10 AM to 1 PM
Thur. May 28th 6 PM to 10 PM No Performer will be called for all rehearsals

The director is seeking a multi-ethnic cast of 6 men and 3 women for a modern adaption of the Mary Shelley science fiction classic Frankenstein.

College students are encouraged to audition.

Prepared 2-3 minute monologue and read from script
