to Hold Auditions for
Disney’s Aladdin Jr.
The Academy of The Company Theatre (ACT) announces auditions for child actors ages 7 to 13 for their upcoming production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr., on Tuesday, January 7; Thursday, January 9 and Friday, January 10 from 3:45 to 6:00 pm at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. A headshot or snapshot is helpful but not required. Actors should plan to attend all three days of auditions, not everyone who auditions will be cast. Students will be taught a song and movement throughout the three day audition. The production is directed by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman with choreography by Sally Ashton Forrest and music direction by Michael Joseph.
Based on the 1992 Disney film, Aladdin Jr. takes the audience on a magical tour of Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where a fantastic tale unfolds of a street rat who becomes a prince! Every child’s beloved characters - Aladdin, Jasmine, Iago, Jafar, the Genie - are here in this musical adventure filled with magic and mayhem. The ensemble of townspeople, shop owners, harem girls, princes, and others delight, complete with the magic flying carpet! Aladdin Jr.’s Academy award-winning score, including tunes like A Whole New World and Friend Like Me, send audiences soaring.
Performances of Aladdin Jr. will be held on March 14, 15 and 16, 2014. Tickets are available for $15.00, matinee and evening performances are available. For a complete performance schedule, please visit

Classes rehearsing the production are held from 3:45 to approximately 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays during the production season. Some actors may be asked to rehearse during school vacation week. Tuition for the classes and production is $300 per student, some financial assistance is available.
