A CHORUS LINE - Axelrod Performing Arts Center Non Equity Auditions

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 7PM SUNDAY, MARCH 13, 6PM SATURDAY, MARCH 19, 11AM Master Class: Prior to the Saturday March 19 audition, director-choreographer Jose de la Cuesta will conduct a FREE one-hour Michael Bennett Master Class to teach the opening number of the show. Theater opens at 9:30 AM for warm-ups. Class runs from 9:50 to 10:50 AM. Performance dates are June 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 15, 16, and 19. Rehearsals begin Monday March 28th Directed and choreographed by Jose de la Cuesta Produced by Andrew DePrisco and Jess Levy A Chorus Line, the iconic dance musical by the legendary director-choreographer Michael Bennett, features a score by Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban. The show won 9 Tony Awards as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and became the longest running musical in Broadway history. It is still considered one of the greatest musicals of all time. The Axelrod Performing Arts Center, located at 100 Grant Ave, Deal Park (Ocean), NJ, is a nonprofit multi-disciplinary arts organization that offers live theater, concerts, film and more. The Axelrod’s 2015 production of West Side Story won the NJACT Perry Award for “Outstanding Production of a Musical,” the third time the theater has been nominated for NJACT’s most prestigious award.
