9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL - Pull-Tight Theatre

Auditions for Pull-Tight Theatre’s “9 to 5: The Musical” will be held May 5th and 6th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church off the square (510 West Main Street) in Franklin, TN.

The musical is based on the 1980 movie “9 to 5,” which starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. In the musical, set in the late 1970s, three female co-workers, pushed to the boiling point, concoct a plan to get even with their “sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot” boss.

Performances are scheduled August 8 – August 23, with rehearsals beginning mid-June.

Auditions will be on May 5th and 6th at 7:00 p.m. Callbacks will be on May 8th at 7:00 p.m.

The cast consists of 8 women and 7 men, ages 18 – 50. All vocal ranges and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

Those auditioning will be asked to:
- Perform a one-minute comedic monologue (bring one prepared if possible or one will be provided for you – copies can be found on the Pull-Tight website prior to audition dates)
- Perform 16 bars of a musical-theatre or pop/country style song (an accompanist, CD player, and iPod dock (lightening connector) will be provided)
- Learn and perform a short dance number.

Those called back on Thursday, May 6th will read from the script & learn and perform a song from the show.
