Following the success of the Lab Series Production of M.U.S.E, Loyola Theatre Art's & Dance Department presents M.U.S.E. Chapter 2: Door of No Return! Join us on this movement journey to spiritual evolution.
M.U.S.E. Chapter 2: Door of No Return is an exploratory dance theatre performance piece developed out of a 4 step process: Meditate, Unpack, Synthesize, and Evolve. It is an introspective movement performance incorporating multimedia elements and afro-modern and contemporary dance styles.
M.U.S.E. Chapter 2: Door of No Return is directed by Loyola Theatre Arts & Dance Faculty Member, Kai Knight. As a choreographer, performer, and instructor, Knight is an active member in the New Orleans based cultural performance companies Kumbuka African Drum and Dance Collective and Bamboula 2000 Band. Knight is also the founder and director of Seasons Center which hosts multicultural programming that assists women, families, and communities by application of faith, education, and the performing arts. Her goal is to better provide individual, social, and community healing through the integration of faith into the performance arts and social work.
This event is free - however, to attend the event you must secure a digital ticket online!
M.U.S.E. Chapter 2: Door of No Return will run May 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th 2023 on Loyola’s campus. All performances will be held at Marquette Theatre at 7:30pm.
