Rivertown Theaters to Host Annual Season Announcement Party in January

The public is invited to come celebrate with Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts at their annual Season Announcement Party & Show on Saturday, January 9, 2016 when they reveal the exciting line-up of shows for the 2016-2017 season.

The evening begins at 7:30 pm with an open bar reception with champagne, wine, beer, and soft drinks. Guests will then move into the theater with their beverages for the show and announcement of the 2016-2017 productions beginning at 8:00 pm. Co-artistic directors Gary Rucker and Kelley Fouchi promise lots of entertainment, including musical numbers from the announced shows and a performance from the upcoming musical Sweet Charity opening January 15. Tickets for the event include the first look at the new season, bar service during the show, desserts and merriment with the artistic staff, actors and other patrons. An exclusive auction with some unique theatrical items, including the "VIP Suite" and "Walk-On Roles" will be offered again this year! The evening closes out with complimentary desserts and beverages.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 or $30 at the door. Proceeds from the evening will go directly to support Rivertown Theaters .

Rivertown Theaters' audiences have grown tremendously during this past year and we are truly grateful and thrilled by the metropolitan New Orleans community's response to our work. The critics continue to be unanimous in their high praise and glowing reviews for the quality of our shows. But we could not accomplish this level of professionalism without the support of the general public. We rely solely on private company and individual sponsorships, program advertisers, ticket sales and season subscriptions to help us continue bringing the "best of Broadway" shows, locally- written productions and children's theater and special learning programs to the New Orleans area."
