The mission of Theatre 13 is to bring new and exciting productions to the New Orleans area while providing local theatre artists an opportunity to perform, create, and be compensated for their work.

Theatre 13 continues producing a wide range of professional theatrical performances, from musicals to children's theatre to more controversial and thought-provoking works for Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts.

An important mission of Rivertown Theaters is providing opportunities for young local and regional school-age children and teens to have the opportunity to audition, perform in live Theater Productions and develop their performing skills. A series of children's shows began the season beginning with the regional premiere of Freckleface Strawberry, based on actress Julianne Moore's best-selling children's book, followed by The Pecan Cracker, an original show by Ricky Graham, Sean Patterson and Jefferson Turner based on Aesops fables, some of the finest theater professionals in the metropolitan area. Productions of Grease, the School Edition and Rapunzel followed in the Spring of 2013.

The 2013 - 2014 season continued with more delightful productions as the popular Patchwork Players made Rivertown Theaters its home for the year with Snow White (June 18-29) and Rumplestilskin (July 9 - 20) on the boards this summer. The last show of the summer was Alladin Jr. (August 16 - 25) One of the most popular Broadway shows, Annie, will also run during the holidays December 6 - 12, 2013.
