Originally created in 2017 by Andy Crosten, Gerry Mastrolia, Jason B. Schmidt, and Mason Griffin, The Golden Gays NYC embarked on a mission to create Golden Girls musicals they themselves would love to see on stage. The current company, now known as The Golden Gays™, continues to fulfill the original creators' dream.

The Golden Gays™ burst onto the scene in the summer of 2017, captivating audiences at RuPaul's DragCon NYC and the renowned Rue-La-Rue Cafe in Washington Heights, New York. Since then, they have delighted sold-out crowds Off-Broadway at Theatre Row, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and The Duplex. Their regional performances in Asbury Park, Cleveland,

and Provincetown, among others, have garnered them a loyal and loving fan base, fondly referred to as the #FriendsOfClayton.

In their quest to bring joy and laughter to audiences far and wide, The Golden Gays™ embarked on mini-tours and appeared at events like RuPaul's DragCon, where they partnered with Golden Girls merchandise aficionado Heck Yes Ya'll, spreading the Golden Girls love and dressing up gaggles of #TokenSophias. Their infectious energy even earned them a live performance on the main stage, introduced by the legendary Mrs. Kasha Davis.

Now, with "Ring Ring! It's the Libertine Belle Murder Musical," The Golden Gays™ take their creativity and talent to new heights. In this murder mystery musical extravaganza, the audience will be transported to a weekend of murder and mystery. Join Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose as they embark on a mission to solve a murder and find the missing Sophia. Will Blanche become a suspect in a real murder? Featuring parodies from Footloose the Musical, Elvis, Doris Day, and a disco finale, this thrilling and hilarious murder mystery will make you clutch your pearls and your purse, which may or may not have an entire place setting in it. As they say, "Not now, Ma!"
