This Tony Award-winning rock musical is based on the Green Day album of the same name, directed by Kevin O'Callaghan with music direction by Leah Fox. The show follows youth using the music of Green Day to express their desire to escape entrapment and disillusionment in a politically charged, chaotic world. The production is described as full of performance spectacle and incredibly relevant politically, with raw, relatable, and loud music and dialogue. The cast includes many Flint Rep regulars as well as several newcomers.
