band, Mariachi Juvenil Tecalitlán, pay tribute to the dazzling music of late singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel—Cuevas’s personal mentor and Mexico’s highest-selling recording artist of all time. Performing Gabriel’s biggest hits from her new album Totalmente Juan Gabriel, Cuevas exhibits her stunning vocals on “Te Lo Pido Por Favor,” “Te Sigo Amando,” and “La Diferencia.” In 2018, Cuevas became the first female singer in the mariachi genre to win a Grammy®.
