Final casting has been announced for Dream Theater's production of Disney's High School Musical.

Zita Geoffroy joins the cast as the kooky, yet heartfelt drama teacher, Ms. Darbus; Peter Herrick will play Troy's Dad who is also the basketball coach. Both actors are members of Actors' Equity Association.

Zita Geoffroy appeared on Broadway as The Cheshire Cat in Eva LeGallienne's production of Alice in Wonderland. Her film credits include: She Devil, Admission and Two Days in New York. Peter Herrick has been seen on Television in The Deuce, Bull, Blacklist and I am Homicide as well as regional productions of Is He Dead?, The Foreigner and Corpse.

Casting previously announced included Rob Ryan (Troy Bolton), Vanessa Sierra (Gabriella Montez), Rachel Ann Raeon (Sharpay Evans), BrIan Keith Graziani (Ryan Evans), Susan Ramirez (Taylor McKessie), Brett Hennessey Jones (Chad Danforth), Ashely Kraus (Kelsi Neilson) and Michael Magielnicki (Zeke Baylor). Rounding out the ensemble are Amanda Chiappetta, Megan Lynn Garretson, Jillian Mauro, Aaron D. McMillan, Jason Muldowney, Jason Myers, Abigail Painter, Katelynn Perez, Alexys Pulsinelli, Grace Rivera, Jesse Simpson, BrIan Smith, Amaya White and Zoey Woody.

The production is based on the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel hit musical. Troy, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella, a shy academically gifted transfer student, discover they share a secret passion for singing. When they audition together for the lead roles in the school musical, it threatens East High's rigid social order and sends their peers into an uproar.

High School Musical is being staged by Dream Theater executive artistic director Bernard J. Solomon and choreographed by Tim McGarrigal. The creative team also includes music director Bruce De La Cruz, scenic designer J Branson, lighting designer Erin O'Brien, associate director Matthew Annis, associate choreographer Jenny Holahan and associate music director Patrick Phillips. Ilene Greenbaum serves as the music supervisor.

The performances are October 20 - 22, 2017, at The Union County Performing Arts Center located in Rahway, New Jersey. Tickets range in price from $15 - $30 and are available online at DreamTheaterProductions.org or by calling (908) 497-7082.
