The Attic Ensemble, Theater for a New Jersey City, will hold auditions for a non-union production of the Neil Simon's classic comedy Come Blow Your Horn, directed by Marcie Colleen. Auditions are at the Attic Ensemble, 83 Wayne Street, Jersey City.

Monday and Tuesday, August 3 and 4 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

CASTING THREE MEN AND THREE WOMEN IN THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

Alan Baker: late 20's-early 30's; good looking, single playboy

BUDDY BAKER: 21, Alan's brother, his complete opposite; reserved shy, unsure

MR. HARRY BAKER: their father, owner of the largest artificial fruit manufacturer in the east.

MRS. BAKER their mother

PEGGY EVANS; 22, Alan's upstairs neighbor;blissfully ignorant, eager to please

CONNIE, mid 20's, Alan's romance

FEMALE VISITOR, 50's

Familiarity with the script is strongly encouraged; sides will be provided for cold readings, monologues are not required. There are no appointments necessary; auditioners will be seen on a first come/first served basis.

The Story: Harry Baker, owner of the largest artificial fruit business in the east, is the father of two sons. Buddy Baker appears suddenly at the apartment of his brother Alan, having run away from their parents' home on his twenty-first birthday. Like his older brother, Buddy wants the fun and freedom his domineering Jewish parents deny him. Both young men still work for their father who shows up hot on his son's trail.

Performances are September 18-27, 2009. Rehearsals will be held in the evening with weekend rehearsals as needed.

The Attic Ensemble is located just two blocks from the Grove Street PATH Station, in the Historic Barrow Mansion, 83 Wayne Street, Jersey City.
