Tenafly Resident Nicole Chessin to Compete for Miss New Jersey USA 2014, 10/18

Nicole Chessin, 22, of Tenafly will compete for the title of MISS NEW JERSEY USA 2014 on October 18th - 20th, 2013 at the Hilton Parsippany Hotel in Parsippany, NJ.

Miss Chessin is the daughter of Diane and Michael, and sister of Bradford. She just completed her undergraduate BBA in May 2013, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA from the University of Miami School of Business Administration. Her favorite activities and hobbies include dancing, acting, performing, teaching zumba, playing tennis, skiing, traveling, and practicing her Italian. Some of her most recent accomplishments throughout college include: She performed live in February 2011 in front of 20,000 people with Latin superstar Pitbull in "Bon, Bon" at Univision's Premio Lo Nuestro, she had a recurring role as a dancer on the show "Descontrol" on Telemundo from 2011-2013, she was President of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, she was VP of the competitive tennis club, and she won individual speaker awards on the UM mock trial team at the Yale and UCLA national competitions.

Her professional goal is to become a successful TV & Film actress and dancer, and her academic goal is to earn her J.D. from USC or UCLA Law School. She is now back at home preparing for the pageant, taking advanced jazz, hip hop, and horton at her dance studio since childhood, beyond dance @ bergenPAC, taking classes at PowerScore in NYC to prepare for the LSAT in December, and working for Total Entertainment on weekends. The MISS NEW JERSEY USA pageant is the Official Preliminary to the MISS USA and MISS UNIVERSE pageants, and are a Donald J. Trump and NBCUniversal joint venture. The young woman chosen as MISS NEW JERSEY USA 2014 will go on to represent the state of New Jersey in the 2014 MISS USA pageant as seen LIVE on NBC television, one of the most anticipated television events of the year.
