Surflight Theatre Adds LES MISERABLES to Season Lineup

By:

Surflight Theatre, under the leadership of Ken Myers, Executive Director, has announced the international musical hit LES MISERABLES will be making its Surflight Premiere from July 31-August 18 as part of the theater's 64th Season of 'Broadway at the Beach.' Surflight's 2013 season of musicals and plays kicks off April 23 through May with a TBA musical revue, the Tony-winning comedy thriller Sleuth (May 7-19), The Boy Friend (May 24 - June 16), George M! (June 19 - July 7), Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific (July 10 - 28), You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (August 21 - September 8), Our Town (September 25 - October 6), and Irving Berlin's White Christmas (December 3 - 22).

"The 64th season is probably the most anticipated one yet, due to the tremendous effects of Hurricane Sandy," said Executive Director Ken Myers. "Surflight is determined to present on our stage shows for the entire family to enjoy. They can escape to Bali Ha'i, dance the Charleston, have fun with Peanuts and try to sleuth out whodunnit! It is going to be fun and exciting as they sit back and let Surflight take them far beyond the worries and cares of rebuilding and get back to what summer is all about. It is also with great pride that we have been granted the right to produce the incomparable Les Miserables as the center stone to our crown of shows. Les Miz takes us all on a journey exhibiting the perseverance of the spirit and lights the way of overcoming adversity."

For the 2013 season, Surflight has rolled back the price of single tickets to $45. Discounted subscriptions are now on sale ranging from 9 to 4 show packages ($171-$365). Subscriptions are available online at www.surflight.org, they may also be purchased in person at the Surflight box office or by phone at 609-492-9477. Groups of 15 or more should call: 609-492-9477x201. Directors and casting to be announced at a later time.
