Student Blog: My Favorite Things to Do When Seeing a Broadway Show

Just seeing a Broadway show is super lucky, so I'm very grateful that my parents allow me to make a day of it. Without further ado, here are my favorite things to do when I see a Broadway show.

Visit Angelinas Bakery: 1675 Broadway, New York, NY 10019

Student Blog: My Favorite Things to Do When Seeing a Broadway Show ImageThis bakery is one of my favorite places to stop after a show before heading home for the night. My personal favorite to get is a slice of the margarita pizza and a Nutella bombolone. I love stopping here after a show because it stays open late (11pm or 12am) and even at the end of the day still has a great selection of treats to offer.

Visit Stardust Diner: 1650 Broadway, New York, NY 10019

This place is one of my favorites because of its fun atmosphere and electric energy. This classic diner has an incredibly talented and hilarious waitstaff who sing! The only thing to note about this place is that you should leave ample time to wait in line because depending on when you go, the line might be longer/shorter. I love this place so much, it was the location of my 16th birthday party!

Summit One Vanderbilt: 45 E 42nd St, New York, NY 10017

This place is SO COOL! If you are a fan of heights and pretty views, this one is definitely for you. You take an elevator up many floors to a super cool room full of mirrors and windows and look at one of the best views in NYC. Same note as Stardust, make sure you give yourself a good amount of time to account for lines.

Museum of Broadway: 145 W 45th St, New York, NY 10036

If you love Broadway just as much as I do, you will love the Museum of Broadway. This was so interesting to me, getting to see the costumes and artifacts from Broadway shows. The museum also included a whole backstage section and many great photo ops!

Overall, these are just a few of my favorites. Being in NYC, the opportunities are endless and there's always something for everyone. I hope this list can help you find something in the city you enjoy!!
