StrangeDog Theatre Presents WE'LL SEE TOMORROW at Playwrights Theatre 11/27

StrangeDog Theatre, in association with Playwrights Theatre, is pleased to present We'll See Tomorrow by Ben Clawson, November 26 and 27, 2010 at 8:00pm (appropriate for 17 and above). The production will be directed by Artem Yatsunov and features Annalisa Ledson, Scott Cagney and Brian Parks. From the suburban kitchen tables to a futurist funeral parlor, a marine science institute in the middle of the night to a techno-dating service, the void of thought to the chaos of communication, the question is the same...is progress moving us in the right direction?

Written for the New Jersey Science and Engineering Festival, We'll See Tomorrow depicts a variety of people struggling with their place in a world altering and growing faster than any other time in history, trying to discover where responsibility and the human spirit factor on this exponential curve.

A futuristic, cutting edge, state of the art meld of comedy and drama featuring fifteen characters portrayed by three actors, We'll See Tomorrow promises to be a whirlwind of science, madness, and whatever happens to fill the space in between.

"For the past three years we have been working with StrangeDog Theatre to help them present their special brand of theatrical presentation and performance," said John Pietrowski, Artistic Director. "We're very excited to host their new evening by Ben Clawson, and looking forward to what the evening has to offer. They always put on a great provocative evening."

About the Playwright: Ben Clawson received his B.F.A. in Theater from Montclair State University, NJ in May of 2007. He is the author of numerous full length and one act plays have had professional readings and workshop productions in New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C. and New Orleans. His full-length plays include Spilling Stuff and Breaking Things, Bootstraps, and The Blairsburg Family Picnic. He has also written three evenings of short comedies including Things that Happen in Bars (upcoming), New.Tricks, and Attention Span of a Fly, which reopened the historic Paramount Theater in Asbury Park in Summer 2007. He has been an evening winner and finalist in the Samuel French Short Play festival, national finalist for the American College Theater Festival's John Cauble One-Act Award, finalist for the Princess Grace Award in play-writing, and recipient of the Kennedy Center's David Mark Cohen award.

About the Director: Artem Yatsunov is a co-founding member of StrangeDog Theatre, with whom he's been directing for the past 2 years. Some of his past credits include: subUrbia, by Eric Bogosian (Jersey City Theatre Center); Bootstraps (Luna Stage); Things That Happen in Bars (Tierny's Upstairs) and Omnivores (world premiere; Playwrights Theatre) by Ben Clawson. Last March Artem staged a re-imagining of Shakespeare's Richard III for Alliance Rep. Theatre, based out of the Union County Perf. Arts Center in Rahway - with a cast of only 8 actors in their mid 20's.He received a BFA in Acting from Montclair State University.
