By: Gabrielle Sierra
Spend A Special Valentine Evening with six of the best doo wop groups at The Paramount Center For The Arts on February 6th.
Six well known doo wop groups will perform in this unforgettable event featuring Kenny Vance & The Planotones, Jay Siegel & The Tokens, La La Brooks, original lead singer of The Crystals, Emil Stucchio & The Classics, The Fireflies and The Emotions.
As a kid in New York, Kenny Vance was captivated by the magic of rock ‘n roll. He was one of the founders of "Jay and the Americans', which went on to record 15 albums and tour extensively. Kenny Vance and The Planotones redefine oldies with vocal authority and freshness, as exemplified by their signature song, "Looking For An Echo".
The Tokens hit the charts with "Tonight I Fell in Love", "Portrait of My Love" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". The Tokens style and sound is elegantly defined by Jay Siegel whose tenor lead and trademark falsetto have characterized their music. Also helping to make this Valentine's Evening special will be La La Brooks, original lead singer of The Crystals ("Da Doo Ron Ron"), Emil Stucchio & The Classics ("Till Then"), The Fireflies ("You Were Mine") and The Emotions ("Echo" and "The Diary").
