South Camden Theatre Sets 2015 Summer Staged Reading Series

By:

South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey will host a free staged reading series on Monday evenings this summer that features new works by Richard L. Gaw and J. Adam Russell.

The reading of the new play THESE SMALL THINGS written by Richard L. Gaw and directed by Ruth Brown will be held Monday, June 29, at 7p.m. The play focuses on a radio host as he's stranded at a station during a snowstorm and visited by people from his past. The reading of ANOTHER ROUND written by J. Adam Russell and directed by Connie Norwoord will be held July 27, at 7 p.m. The play is set in a police bar as three officers await the trial verdict for the shooting of a young black child.

Producing Artistic Director Joseph M. Paprzycki states, "I am happy to announce our fifth summer of new play readings that will allow our audience to be on the ground floor of a play's development. I am excited to have a new play reading from Richard L. Gaw and I look forward to bringing ANOTHER ROUND to a local New Jersey audience in the midst of so much recent news concerning police shootings. South Camden Theatre Company audiences have been a part of the evolution of new work that has gone on to full productions including EXPRESS TRACKS and DREAM OF PERFECT SLEEP and now we invite you again to be a part of the creative process."
