By:

South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey will host a free staged reading series on Monday evenings this summer that features new works by Laura Toffentti, Joseph M. Paprzycki and Kevin Kautzman. WITHOUTH A PARACHUTE written by Laura Toffenetti and directed by Susan Paschkes will be staged June 24 at 7p.m. PERRENIALS by Joseph M. Paprzycki directed by Sean Close will be staged July 29 at 7p.m. and DREAM OF PERFECT SLEEP written by Kevin Kautzman and directed by Craig Hutchings will be staged August 19 at 7p.m.

Plays for the Staged Reading Series were selected from an open call for full length new works held earlier this year and two were selected for from over 60 entries from Dramatist Guild member playwrights. All readings are free and open to the public and will include a talk-balk after each reading for the director and playwright to receive feedback on the new work.

Producing Artistic Director Joseph M. Paprzycki states, "We are excited to offer to our audience three staged readings of new American plays as submitted by playwrights from all over the country. We seek not only your attendance but also your opinion as each reading is followed by a talkback with the cast, director and writer. Please join us for one, two or all three readings as SCTC continues to bring you into the development of new work for the American stage."

All staged readings are free and open to the public and will be held Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at the 96-seat Waterfront South Theatre located at 400 Jasper Street in Camden, New Jersey.
