SEMINAR to Paint a Tumultuous Picture of the Artist's Struggle at UCPAC

In four performances over two days, Fearless Productions and Barbaro Acting and Productions will be presenting a look into the underbelly of the creative process in Seminar, written by modern playwright Theresa Rebeck. It's sure to be a sometimes tense, always entertaining emotional roller coaster.

Audiences can catch the show in 2017 on Friday, January 6th at 8:00PM, Saturday January 7th at 3:00PM and 8:00PM, and Sunday, January 8th at 3:00PM at the Union County Performing Arts Center Hamilton Stage.

Seminar, set in the Upper West Side of New York City, follows the story of four aspiring writers, each in their twenties. They are enrolled in Leonard's ten week long writing seminar, each having paid $5,000 to attend. Leonard is an accomplished writer and professor who is anything but delicate; he attacks each student's writing with vigor, revealing an exacting, almost cruel nature. Throughout the classes, it becomes more than just the students' writing that is challenged. Leonard begins to challenge who the students are as people and what they believe in. Attractions form, social boundaries are broken, and the students' perceptions of true inspiration, as well as their own senses of entitlement, are forever changed.

Richard Kline, actor and director, is most well-known for his role as Larry Dallas in the television show Three's Company (1977-1984).

Tickets for Seminar are $15 and can be purchased online at ucpac.org or over the phone by calling (732) 499-8226. There is also an option for $50 VIP tickets (for the first showing only), which include a social with light fare/ hospitality and a meet and greet with Richard Kline. The Union County Performing Arts Center Hamilton Stage is located in downtown Rahway at 360 Hamilton Street and is easily accessible to major roads and public transportation.
