Boyz II Men not only formed in 1988, but also created their own clean-cut "retro nouveau" image. The group's rapid rise to stardom can be attributed to its knack for synchronized dance routines, polished stage act, and overall presence. Between 1992 and 1997, Boyz II Men recorded five Number One Pop hits and 12 Top-10 R&B singles, sold more than 60 million records worldwide, and earned a host of awards including four Grammy Awards.Boyz II Men signed to Motown Records in 1991. Soon after, the group released its debut album Cooleyhighharmony. A music staple of the nineties, Cooleyhighharmony, helped coin the phrase "hip-hop doo-wop." The album spun off three major crossover hits: "Motownphilly," "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday," and "Uhh Ahh." With Cooleyhighharmony, Boyz II Men earned their first Grammy Award - for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.Boyz II Men will perform in the Superstar Theater Saturday, November 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at $50 & $40 and can be purchased at Resorts' Box Office, by calling Ticketmaster at 1.800.745.3000 or by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com or www.resortsac.com.
