Princeton's Triangle Club returns to the McCarter Theatre 5/28, 5/29

By:

With its newest production Store Trek, Princeton's famed Triangle Club boldly goes where no musical comedy has gone before to the crass crossroads of corporate greed and American consumerism. The production returns for two encore performances during Princeton Reunions Weekend on Friday, May 28 and Saturday, May 29 at 8pm on the Matthews stage of McCarter Theatre Center.

Welcome to the World's Biggest Box Store, where the aisles go on for miles, and evil lurks behind every breathtaking bargain! With original music and lyrics by Princeton's best and brightest, this year's all-new musical extravaganza descend into the deep depths of deep-discounting, where the fun is econo-sized and the laughs are free (with ticket purchase!)

Will a good-hearted Princetonian cashier and her colorful band of rebels fall prey to the evil designs of their bosses, and discount the world? Or will they succeed in a shopping-cart-chase escape worthy of Steven Spielberg? Only one thing is certain off this shelf, Triangle's trademark all-guy kickline - is priceless!
Following on the heels of Triangle's recent successes, Stark Raven Mad! (2008) and A Turnpike Runs Through It (2007), the highly skilled team of professionals of Triangle alumni returns for Store Trek: director Glen Pannell '87, choreographer Hans Kriefall '87, and music director Peter Mills '95. Mills was recently honored as "the most promising musical theatre lyricist" awarded by the Kleban Prize in Musical Theatre, which will be presented June 21 in Manhattan.

Tickets, starting at $22, are available by calling the McCarter Ticket Office at (609) 258-2787; toll-free at 1-888-278-7932; or online at www.mccarter.org. Student tickets are $10 (on the web use the STUTIX promo code). McCarter Theatre is located at 91 University Place, Princeton, NJ.
