Passage Theatre to Present Mime Bill Bowers at 11th Annual Solo Flights Festival, 3/22-23

By:

Passage Theatre as part of its popular Solo Flights Festival will present Beyond Words, written and performed by Bill Bowers, for two performances on Thursday, March 22 at 8pm and Sunday, March 23 at 3pm. All tickets $20.

Beyond Words a collection of Mime, Music, and Monologues: a journey that continues Bowers' ongoing investigation of silence in our culture. Set against the backdrop of "Small town America," Beyond Words takes the audience on a journey of sound and silence.

Playwright and Actress, Anna Deavere Smith, offers this praise, "Bill Bowers is a wonderful mixture of skill and diligence, humor and heart--a real artist for humans. He makes you laugh and cry and think, all in one swoop. Maybe he's really an angel."

Press notes state, Bill Bowers' eloquent movement evokes the deepest truths of the human condition. Often compared to Chaplin and Keaton, Bowers has created a style all his own. Bowers was a student of world-renowned mime Marcel Marceau, and has performed and conducted workshops throughout the U.S, Europe and Asia. His acclaimed original shows have been produced Off-Broadway to critical raves. Bowers has appeared on Broadway in The Lion King, and The Scarlet Pimpernel and on the stages of Radio City Music Hall, The Kennedy Center, Madison Square Garden, and major regional theaters across the country.

For tickets, call (609) 392-0766; visit online at www.passagetheatre.org; or in person at the Passage Theatre Office at 219 East Hanover Street in Trenton. Tickets can also be purchased at the door one hour before each performance at the Mill Hill Playhouse, 205 East Front St., Trenton, NJ  08611.
