PNC Arts Alive presents The Ritz Theatre Company's Area Premiere of "Monty Python's Spamalot" at the historic Ritz Theatre, 915 White Horse Pike, Arts District, Haddon Township, NJ.

The Ritz Theatre Company is one of twenty-seven area arts organizations to receive a grant from PNC Arts Alive, $5-million initiative from The PNC Foundation. This prestigious grant award will fund special ASL Shadow Interpreted performances of "Monty Python's Spamalot".

The Ritz Theatre Company is the first regional theatre in the area to present "Spamalot". "We are thrilled to be partnering with PNC and to have the opportunity to present ASL Shadow Interpreted performances. Receiving the grant from PNC Arts Alive allows us to remove the barriers between our work and the deaf and hard of hearing community," says Ritz Producing Artistic Director Bruce A. Curless. During the performance, costumed American Sign Language interpreters perform with and shadow the actions of the actors on stage. This allows patrons to watch the show and the interpreters simultaneously.

Always look on the bright side of life! It's medieval merry-making with the zany Monty Python's Spamalot, a musical lovingly ripped off from the internationally renowned comedy team's most popular film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This parody of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table is the recipient of three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and fourteen Tony Award nominations. Follow the knights on their merry adventures as they meet up with a chorus line of dancing divas, flying cows, and killer rabbits! From the original screenplay by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin. Directed by Bruce A. Curless.

On stage at the historic Ritz Theatre October 21 - November 20. Tickets are $17 - $30.
Assistive listening devices available, handicapped accessible. All seats reserved. Advanced reservations: Ritz 24 hour ticket hotline (856) 858-5230.
