Mike Daisey Brings AMERICAN UTOPIAS to the McCarter Theatre, 12/13
Direct from a successful sold out run in Chicago, master storyteller Mike Daisey will bring his newest monologue, America Utopias, to the Berlind stage of McCarter Theatre Center on Thursday, December 13 at 7:30pm.
In his latest work, Daisey presents a distinctly American vision of utopia—or as he puts it, “how we create public spaces in which we come together to act out our dreams of a better world.” Daisey takes his audience along as he pursues the story: from Disney World and its nostalgic theme park perfection, to the drug-fueled anarchic excesses of Burning Man, to Zuccotti Park, where in the unlikeliest place the Occupy movement is born.
All tickets are $50 and may be purchased on line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the McCarter website at www.mccarter.org or during regular business hours by phone at (609) 258-2787. McCarter Theatre Center is conveniently located at 91 University Place in Princeton, NJ.
