MPAC Sets Free Summer Film Series

Mayo Performing Arts Center will present three free films this summer.
The films will be: Monday, July 18 at 7 pm: Frozen Sing-A-Long (rated PG) Thursday, August 4 at 7 pm: Pitch Perfect (rated PG-13) Tuesday August 16 at 7 pm: Peanuts - The Movie (rated G) "Mayo Performing Arts Center was built originally as The Community Theatre and was Morristown's premier movie venue from 1937 through the 1970s," said Allison Larena, President and CEO, MPAC. "We are excited once again to bring movies to our building." All events are free. Reservations are recommended. Tickets can be acquired at www.mayoarts.org (click on "Buy Tickets" and scroll to the appropriate film.) beginning on Wednesday, June 29. The free movies are part of numerous free events that MPAC offers to the community, including Music Beyond Borders, four world music concerts on the Morristown Green at 12:30 pm on alternate Tuesdays beginning June 28, and Performances on the Plaza, free pre-show mini-concerts outside the Theatre on select show nights.
