Kristin Chenoweth, Bob Newhart, THE PRODUCERS, and More Lead 2015-2016 Mayo Performing Arts Center Season

Tony-winning performer Kristin Chenoweth officially kicks off the Mayo Performing Arts Center 2015-2016 season with a performance on Friday, September 11 at 8 pm. It is one of over 150 events to take place at MPAC from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, June 15 at 9 am at www.mayoarts.org. (Events in July and August are already on sale). Box Office opens at 10 am (973-539-8008)

Other headline acts include syndicated talk show host Wendy Williams (Sept. 12), Bob Newhart (Oct. 24), Melissa Etheridge (Oct. 1) and Sesame Street Live (Sept. 22).

As in prior years, MPAC boats a strong lineup in all performance genres, including jazz, classical, theatre, dance, world music and family programming.

Touring Theatre productions include The Producers, Mamma Mia, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Ragtime the Musical.

Jazz artists include Chick Corea (with Bela Fleck), John Pizzarelli with Ramsey Lewis, Chris Botti and recent Grammy winner Gregory Porter.

New Jersey Ballet returns for Nutcracker with 14 performances in December. This year, for the 45th anniversary of Nutcracker, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will serve as the orchestra for the events.

World music includes Yanni, Gaelic Storm, popular rock group Los Lobos in a celebration of Mexico, and the unusual, kooky Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra.

Dance features Savion Glover, Pilobolus and the National Dance Company of Siberia

Laughs come from the likes of Wendy Williams, Norm MacDonald and Kevin Nealon, Bob Newhart, Kathy Griffin and The Capitol Steps.

Rock and pop acts include Melissa Etheridge, Art Garfunkel, Christian favorites The Newsboys and Amy Grant, Dave Mason, Rob Thomas Gladys Knight and many more.

Family events include Sesame Street Live, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

An additional 20-30 events will be added throughout the season.

Patrons who purchase five or more events staged from July 1, 2015-June 30, 2016 qualify for special benefits, including the opportunity to purchase tickets prior to public onsales and the ability to exchange tickets up to 48 hours prior to events.
