Kelsey Theatre At Mercer County Community College Announces SNOW WHITE, Plays 10/3

By:

A fairy tale classic is recreated by a spirited ensemble of live actors and adorable puppets in Theatre IV's "Snow White," coming to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. This original musical is presented Saturday, Oct. 3 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on Mercer's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Youngsters and their families will thrill to the adventures of Snow White in a tale where goodness triumphs over evil. Snow White's stepmother, the Queen, is as vain as she is beautiful. Every day, she asks her mirror who is the fairest in the land and expects the mirror to give the same reply - she is! Then, one day, the mirror answers, "Snow White," and the queen flies into a rage. Fearing for her very life, Snow White flees into the forest. Enter seven friendly dwarfs, a handsome Prince and who would have guessed? - it all adds up to a happy ending for Snow White and her friends.

Based in Richmond, Va., Theatre IV was founded in 1975 as a nonprofit, professional theatre that seeks to provide children, families and schools with arts education. Over the years, it has become internationally recognized as an "arts for the community sake" company. In the coming year, Theatre IV is expected to perform live before more than 500,000 children, teens, parents and teachers across America.

Tickets are $8 for children and senior citizens, and $10 for adults. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased online at www.kelseytheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request. For a complete listing of adult and children's events for the 2009-10 season, visit the Kelsey website or call the box office for a brochure.
