Kaleidoscope Theatre Presents THE THREE PIGS At Kelsey Theatre 10/17

By:

Watch out Simon Cowell. There's a new talent show coming to town. Join Kaleidoscope Theatre for an original and thoroughly modern take on "The Three Pigs" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

In this topsy turvy retelling of the popular classic, the Three Pigs dream of auditioning for the Barnyard Idol Show. Enter a big, bad Elvis-type Wolf, who steals their audition ticket. Will they get their ticket back in time? Can Mama Pig save them from the Wolf? Will the Pigs make it big in show business? These questions and more will be answered in this zany, humorous musical that's perfect entertainment for the whole family!

Based in Rhode Island, Kaleidoscope Theatre was founded in 1977 to create and perform educational plays and workshops for youngsters from elementary to high school. Adding musical fairytales to its repertoire in 1982, the company counts comical, enriching family entertainment as a cornerstone of its mission. Touring from Maine to Texas, Kaleidoscope has earned numerous honors, including the Best of Rhode Island Award from Rhode Island Monthly Magazine and the Rhode Island Theatre Achievement Award.

Tickets are $8 for children and senior citizens, and $10 for adults. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased at www.kelseytheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request. For a complete listing of adult and children's events for the 2008-09 season, visit the Kelsey website or call the box office for a brochure.
