Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge And 'Lightning' Lou Christie Take The Keswick Theatre Stage 12/6

By:

Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, along with "Lightning" Lou christie, rock the holidays as they share the stage at the Keswick Theater on Sunday, December 6th.

As a front man for The Crests, Brooklyn's own Johnny Maestro had his first big hit with "Sixteen Candles". In the mid 60s, he teamed up with members of the Del-Satins and Rhythm Method to form The Brooklyn Bridge, known for its strong vocals and horn arrangements. The group released its debut album in 1969, scoring a top five hit and a gold record with "The Worst that Could Happen". By 1972, the Brooklyn Bridge had sold over 10 million records and established Johnny Maestro as one of the premier vocal talents of the era. In 2005, the Brooklyn Bridge were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

Hit Parade Hall of Fame Inductee Lou christie's chart topping, multi-million selling career as a songwriter, recording artist, and performer started in a two-track studio in Glenwillard Pennsylvania, his rural hometown near Pittsburgh. Christie's first million selling song, "The Gypsy Cried", transformed a local choirboy into a national teen idol, while still a teenager himself. Christie followed this success with "Two Faces Have I", "Lightning Strikes", "Rhapsody in the Rain" and "I'm Gonna Make You Mine".

Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge and Lou christie at the Keswick Theatre on Sunday, December 6th. Showtime is 7 pm. The theatre is located at 291 N. Keswick Avenue, Glenside. Tickets start at $45.50. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the box office at (215) 572-7650 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
