By: Tyler Peterson
etwork star Ina Garten. Ina gives a charming insider's view of the world of the Barefoot Contessa, including the pleasures of good food, cooked with love and passion. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 7:30 PM at Prudential Hall. Get your tickets now at NJPAC.org or 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722) On stage, Garten shares her natural approach to food through tips, stories and maybe even some recipes, and engages the audience in an interactive Q&A.
The celebrated specialty food store maven and author was once a nuclear budget analyst in President Jimmy Carter's White House. The founder and former owner of the Barefoot Contessa store in the Hamptons, she wrote her first book, The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook, in 1999. She has since gone on to write seven phenomenally successful cookbooks. Garten's Emmy-winning cooking show, Barefoot Contessa, is one of the highest rated programs on Food Network. Joined by Moira Forbes, President and Publisher of ForbesWoman, Garten will share stories that bring you behind the scenes of life in the Hamptons: filming Barefoot Contessa, writing bestselling cookbooks and enjoying food with friends and family. An audience Q&A will directly follow the interview. Williams-Sonoma is the exclusive seller of autographed copies of Garten's latest book, MAKE IT AHEAD: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook for this tour, with Mills Entertainment. Autographed copies can be pre-ordered at williams-sonoma.com/inagartentour for pickup at the event. Pre-ordering is strongly recommended; a limited supply will be available for purchase on the night of the show.
