Forum Theatre Producing Artistic Director Peter J Loewy has just announced 3 shows scheduled for the 2014-15 season. A world premier musical, a James Sherman comedy and the NJ Premier of a new musical by the author of last seasons David Michael Finkelstein's Bar Mitzvah. With a fourth show TBD.

*Opening November 20th through December 14 with an additional New Years Eve performance @ 9pm, the Forum Theatre presents: "MIsMATCHED, A New Musical Comedy About Online Dating In The Middle Ages"
Book by Peter J Loewy with Lyrics by Margaret Davis. This hysterical new musical shows the trials and tribulations of online dating for those 6 million boomers out there. If you've ever been through the good the bad and the ugly of marriage, divorce, long term relationships, or dating, (who amongst us hasn't?! That's a rhetorical question) and are still looking for Mr.or Ms Right, this musical is for you with songs such as "Tie Me Up Buttercup", "I've Got A Cowboy To Ride", and "Low T" you know its going to be an evening of high brow entertainment! There will also be a computer booth where audience members, male and female, can write their own profiles before the show. You never know who might be in the audience that night. Your perfect match might be sitting right next to you!

February 26 through March 15: JACOB and JACK, By James Sherman (Beau Jest).
Jack Shore, a well-known television personality, is appearing for one night only in a tribute to his grandfather, Jack Shemerinsky, great star of the Yiddish Theater. Backstage in his dressing room, Jack confronts his challenges as an actor and as a husband to his co-starring wife. Simultaneously, 75 years in the past, Jacob has problems of his own. Actors play their past and present roles in a dizzying display of life in the theater in this time-traveling farce. "A classic marital farce ingeniously complicated by historical layering and virtuosic dual role-playing. And a beguiling comic love letter to the American theater-from its Yiddish roots to its long obsession with the siren call that lures stage actors to Hollywood. All this, plus a whole lot of laugh-out-loud escapades." -Chicago Sun-Times.

April 23 through May 17 The NJ Premier of: MOTHERHOOD, A New Musical Comedy by Sue Fabisch (David Michael Finkelstein's Bar Mitzvah)
Having a baby is just the beginning...motherhood is for life. Four women share their insights, challenges and pleasures at a baby shower. In 90 minutes of fun, you'll get a peek into the powerful friendship of Amy, a soon-to-be first-time mom; Brooke, a hard-working lawyer; Barb, a stressed-out mother of five; and Tasha, a single mom seeking to balance work, her family and her divorce. Motherhood the Musical was written by the award-winning singer/songwriter, Sue Fabisch. Among the 20 original songs are the Top 10 Billboard Comedy Hit "The Kids Are Finally Asleep," the rousing "Costco Queen," the show-stopping "Grannyland" and the tender "I'm Danny's Mom." Finely polished Motherhood the Musical is a smash hit with big potential...We could go on describing this but the odds are good that you'll see it yourself. Motherhood the Musical will be required viewing for groups of women on a girl's night out for many years to come. - Bill Hirschman, South Florida Theater Review

All Main Stage productions run Thursday - Saturday @ 8pm Sunday Matinees @ 3pm. MisMatched The Musical will have a New Years Eve performance @ 9pm

And for the kids! One of New Jersey's premiere and comprehensive musical theatre programs for kids 9 to 15, Stars On Stage, will begin again this October. We will also present main stage productions for kids such as the musical Junie B. Jones opening in October.

Just added: If your kids think they're funny they why not have them come to a new Stand Up Comedy class for teens 13 to 17. It will be one night a week where kids will put together a 10 minute comedy set to be presented on stage at the conclusion of the class.
