The classic American drama ONE WHO FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST will be performed at the Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine Street in Hammonton, NJ, from June 15 to June 30. The play, adapted by Dale Wasserman from the 1962 Ken Kesey novel, tells the story of Randle McMurphy, who cons his way into a mental institution to avoid prison time, and proceeds to engage in a vicious clash of will with the domineering Nurse Ratched.

Audiences are likely familiar with the 1975 film, which starred Jack Nicholson and was the second film ever to win all five major Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Actor in a Lead Role. The play, though predating the cinematic masterpiece, is very similar to the film, and audiences can expect to experience the same comedy, reflection and outright rebellion that has made the film a centerpiece in the American canon.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest will run on the following dates: June 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 at 8pm, and June 17 and 24 at 3pm at the Eagle Theatre.
