From June 29 to October 3, 2012, the Guggenheim Museum will present Rineke Dijkstra: A Retrospective, an extensive midcareer survey and the first major exhibition of the artist's work organized by a North American institution. It is the most comprehensive museum exhibition of the artist's oeuvre to date.

Trustus Theatre will crown its 14th Vista Queen Monday, May 21st at the theatre located at 520 Lady Street in the Vista. The annual drag pageant fundraiser starring local men features six men vying for the title. This year's theme is (Vista) Queen of the Night, a tribute to the late Whitney Houston. The event is sponsored by Revente and Revente's Last Call.

The 2011 Bonnaroo performance by the polyglot Tuscan artist Jovanotti (nee Lorenzo Cherubini) won over American live music fans, critics and industry alike. Among those taken by Jovanotti's artistry and charisma was the leadership of ATO Records, which will introduce American audiences to him with Italia 1988-2012, a career retrospective including four new tracks, on August 7. This is the artist's first physical album of studio recordings to be released in the U.S., and the first time much of the material has been released here in any format.
